Day 23 – Water, water, and more water!

Destination: Three Bears Resort, Warrens, WI (2.5 hours, 180 miles)

Since we didn’t make it to the beach ditch yesterday we were determined to go today! Erin had to work but was nice enough to get everything we could possibly need ready for us (wagon, towels, snacks, blanket etc). Thanks Erin!

Jaclyn and I packed up all of our stuff which still takes over an hour each time (exhausting) and usually leads to us yelling at the kids lol. I think Brandon was surprised how long it took us to pack even when running around full speed. Luckily, Jurassic Park was on TV so the kids we entertained by that. Eventually, we got everything in the car and drove to the beach ditch (5 mins down the road).

We got to the beach ditch and all wondered why it was so empty, especially since it was Father’s Day…never the less we went on our way and setup camp under a big umbrella. The kids had fun playing in the sand and splashing/chasing each other in the water. Unfortunately, about an hour in we realized why it was so empty. It started raining and made an absolute mess of everything. Sand and mud on everything and everyone. Probably not the best way to start our day!

Since it was still raining and Beckett needed to nap soon we decided to hit the road. Brandon stocked us up with food and supplies and we said our goodbyes to him and the boys. Again, we were lucky to have such great and accommodating hosts!

We didn’t have anywhere specific we needed to be tonight or the next night so we found Three Bears resort which has both and indoor and outdoor water park (think Great Wolf Lodge). We had some drama on the short ride about what to eat for lunch as Jaclyn and I are getting a bit burnt out from trying to find food on the road that everyone will eat. Nonetheless, we arrived at the resort about 4pm.

We checked in and pretty much headed straight to the water park to play. We ordered a pizza, which had an absolutely insane amount of cheese on it, but I guess that’s what you get in Wisconsin…we played a little longer in the water park and then headed to our room for the night.

Beckett was so worn out that he fell asleep in Brooke’s arms and she was in Heaven!
