Our day started early when Beckett woke up at 12:30am seemingly for the day. We finally managed to get him back down around 2:30am. Sorry Marlene! 😬
Today is our last day at Auntie Marlene’s and we will head out to the Grand Canyon tomorrow morning. I had to work today (my penultimate work day on the road trip) but Marlene had a great WFH setup. Far better noise cancellation then I’m used to!
Marlene made us eggs and bacon for breakfast and then everyone hung around the house in the morning. Marlene and Brooke finished assembling Brooke’s wind chime gift and they hung it on the patio.
In the afternoon, Marlene, Jaclyn, Brooke and Beckett tried to go to the Sea Life aquarium. I was going to stay back and catch up on things and start packing but Beckett threw a fit in the car so he ended up staying home with me. Beckett and I then played in Auntie Marlene’s pool on the patio for a little bit.
We had our last dinner at Marlene’s and gave the kids baths in hopes that they’d at least sleep through the night and maybe even past 5am.
